Current Position:

I started teaching for Okmulgee Public Schools in 2008 at Okmulgee Middle School.   Over the years, I have taught math for grades 6-8 (both traditionally and virtually), 8th grade Algebra 1, STEM, Intervention, and Personal FInancial Literacy.

I also teach GED classes 2 evenings a week for OSUIT’s:  Adult Basic Education Program.

Previous Position:

I spent 6 years as a teachers assistant for Jenks Three Year Old Preschool through the Community Education Program and worked at both Central Campus Mayo Building and Southeast Elementary.

My first teaching assignment was Kindergarten in August 2005 at Jenks West Elementary.

I spent the next two years at Jenks Middle School working as a long-term substitute teacher where I taught 7th grade math, 7th grade Language Arts, Computer classes, speech/debate and an entire semester of Drama.  While covering 7th grade math and language arts it was my job to create the lesson plans and input grades into the online gradebook just like the regular classroom teacher.

Family Information:

I was born in Stillwater, OK and raised in the Tulsa area where I attended Tulsa Public Schools, Jenks Middle School, Union Middle School, and Catoosa High School.  I have been married since 1983 and currently live in Jenks.  We have a daughter that works in the IT field; and a son that works in the medical field.  We also have 3 grandchildren:  9th grade, 6th grade, and 5th grades that live in Indianapolis, IN.

Personal Information:

I enjoy learning about computers, reading, and playing puzzle games.
