I am very excited to be the newest member of the 5th grade teaching staff at Okmulgee Public Schools. I understand that this transition period from one teacher to another may be stressful, but I will do my best to help everyone adjust as we start our journey together through 5th grade social studies and writing.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tonya Dunlap and I will be teaching 5th grade social studies and writing. I was born and raised in Okmulgee, where I currently live, and graduated from Morris High School in 1999. From there I joined the military and served 6 years Active Duty Army. I was a Chemical Operations Specialist and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 2005. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Bacone College in 2017.
My husband also teaches in the Okmulgee Public School district and our 4 older children also attend Okmulgee Schools. We love being a part of the Bulldog family and everything that being a Bulldog encompasses.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I appreciate your participation in your child’s education, it truly makes a difference. I look forward to a great year!
